account3 provides a wide range of vocational training programmes on site. Some of the training programmes are delivered in partnership whilst others are delivered directly by our excellent teaching and assessment teams. We are accredited by several exam boards and have maintained accreditations through the audit processes with OCR, CACHE, BCS, City & Guilds and NCFE.

Childcare Courses

• Level 1 Childcare – National Award in Working with Children NCFE

This 3 months course is a taster course for working with children. Many women think they would like to work with children and often it is a good choice which enables them to find rewarding, paid local work that fits in with family responsibilities. The course is delivered as a combination of classroom based learning sessions, practical creative sessions and work placement in a nursery or playgroup. It gives the people doing the course the time and experience to decide whether working with children works for them and offers a qualification at level 1 with progression onto level 2 course. The course is fairly short and covers a range of transferable skills, such as team working and implementing policies, for those that decide on progression outside of childcare fields.

• Level 2 Childcare – NVQ Childcare, Learning and Development CACHE

The NVQ level 2 Childcare is a practical based qualification and the training is held alongside work experience placements offering people a chance to consolidate their learning at level 1 and expand to stage where they can provide educational activities for children in a safe stimulating environment. The learners on this programme undertake a one year work placement which gives them the opportunity to gather evidence to prove their competence to their assessor. The small group training provides the opportunity to gain the required under pinning knowledge and a chance to discuss challenges with a professional network.

• Level 3 Childcare – NVQ Childcare, Learning and Development CACHE

The NVQ level 3 Childcare is also a practical based qualification offering the learner a chance to move up the ladder and gain a supervisory or management role. The learners on this programme have normally moved in to paid work and this course enables them to consider taking on more responsibility. Again most of the assessment is done in the work place though a combination of direct observations and professional discussions.

This is a course for managers who wish to acquire qualification in Management.
8 Months – One year. Partnership delivery programme.
